Suzhou

Suzhou, known as the “Venice of the East,” is a charming city in Jiangsu Province filled with canals, gardens, and history. Its classic gardens are the pride of the city—nine of them are UNESCO World Heritage sites, like the peaceful Humble Administrator’s Garden and the beautiful Lingering Garden. Once a favorite place for artists, Suzhou still keeps that creative vibe today, especially in its ancient water towns like Zhouzhuang and Tongli, where you can wander narrow lanes and feel a taste of old China.
